Wisconsin Wetlands Association invites you to host a roundtable conversation at our 26th Annual Conference, which will be held VIRTUALLY Feb. 16-19, 2021.
Roundtable conversations are informal sessions where people with a shared interest can come together to talk about that topic as part of the Wetland Science Conference. They are a great place to bring your questions or challenges to ask others for suggestions or to come up with solutions to shared challenges. Most importantly, they are great places to talk with people who share your interests and build relationships you can draw on after the conference. Roundtable conversations are one way we can try to recreate some of the hallway conversations that happen during an in-person conference and are an important part of networking and relationship-building.
These conversations are meant to be low-key and require only as much planning as hosts want to put in.
Note that these conversations will not conflict with conference presentations (presentations will be scheduled in the mornings during the conference, and roundtable conversations will be scheduled in the afternoons).
We encourage you to submit your roundtable conversation idea as soon as you can but we need to receive your information by November 15, 2020. Here’s the info we need:
- Title
- Description
- Preference for when the roundtable is scheduled
- How long you want your roundtable conversation to last
- Start time you would prefer
- Whether you can host this roundtable conversation yourself via Zoom or other video conferencing platform
- Information about co-host(s) if you have them.
If you have an idea for a roundtable conversation at the Wetland Science Conference, submit it here!
